When / How to perform a restart: restart on back of tablet (insert screen shots of back of tablet and where power button is )

If the tablet is having issues with either connecting to the server or camera, the easiest solution is to perform a tablet reset. This can be done fairly easily by following the steps below.

  1. On the back of the tablet ( top left corner ) there is a cut out that should allow access to a single button. Press and hold said button until the tablet pulls up a half screen that says something like ( swipe down to shut down ).

  2. Swipe down on that screen and it should start a restart process. Occasionally you may have to force quit some of the processes ( show screen shot ).

  3. Once you swipe down and force quit if necessary. The Pod should come perform a reset. The tablet should log itself back in, but it may prompt you for a pin number to proceed. That pin is 0683. Once the tablet is logged back in, iet it get its processes started. Wait 30s to a minute to let it get connected.

  4. The Studio Pod Software should automatically start when the tablet is restarted. If so you should be able to resume sessions like normal. If it doesn't automatically load into the software, look on the desktop for the SP icon ( image ) or the quick bar at the bottom. click on the software to start it ( be sure to only start it once ).

  5. Follow the prompts to get logged back into the software any should be up and running to run more sessions!

How to reset the Pod (hard reset)

A hard reset should only be performed when the restarting the tablet doesn't fix the issue. To Perform a hard reset follow the instructions below.

  1. To Perform a hard reset, you'll need to get the keys ( if applicable ) and go to the back of the pod main unit and find the power strip ( Include image ) and turn it off completely at that point. That should reset power on all of the pieces all at once.

How to know it's working again

  • When the pod is up and working properly it will be sitting at a screen that says 'Studiopod Remote' and 'Touch anywhere' (screen shot) and it should let you enter an e-mail and log into your session.

How to manage a swipe out

A swipe out can happen when on the shooting screen you swipe to the left on the images on the lower portion of the screen. (show example)

    • (either) Contact our support line and we'll re-send a session under the same e-mail to re-start it.
